Job summary

The Crocker Residential Care program, operated by JWCH Institute, Inc and Wesley Health Centers, seeks a Care Team Specialist to promote safety, dignity, and engagement for residents 60+. The CTS will apply harm reduction and trauma-informed care while monitoring spaces, leading safety drills, and documenting incidents.

Strong communication and bilingual skills support interactions with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed care.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication skills for crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport and provide a safe, supportive environment.
• Apply harm reduction and trauma-informed care in all interactions.
• Monitor common areas and respond to safety concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and nonviolent de-escalation.
• Maintain logs and incident reports with accuracy.
• Assist with intake, engagement, and connecting to services.
• Coordinate with care team and emergency responders as needed.
