Job summary

JWCH Institute, Inc is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant at Crocker Care Campus in Downtown Los Angeles to support compassionate, harm-reduction focused care for people experiencing homelessness and substance use. The CNA will assist with daily activities, wound care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, patient-centered care in non-traditional settings, with a preference for bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates and at least one year of CNA

Qualifications

• Current California CNA certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year CNA experience preferred.
• Comfort working in non-traditional clinical environments.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care and support with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting).
• Assist with wound care, medication reminders, and patient monitoring under RN supervision.
• Support hygiene, clothing changes, wound cleaning, and basic grooming.
• Engage patients with dignity, compassion, and non-judgment.
