Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the New Journeys Program (.5 FTE). The RN will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, coordinate care, support medication management, and provide health education to individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

You will collaborate with psychiatrists and the treatment team, conduct risk assessments, maintain confidential records, and travel to community settings as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the State of Washington.
• Active BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Unrestricted drivers license and access to vehicle.
• Preferred: 1 year experience with severe mental illness.
• Knowledge of WA Administrative Codes related to mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients weekly for the first month; then every 2 weeks for 5 months, and monthly thereafter.
• Provide symptom and medication assessment, education, and management.
• Provide health education and coaching for healthy lifestyles.
• Process and sign medication orders; administer medications as directed.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, MHCP, hospitals, and families.
• Maintain client records and complete required documentation timely.
• Travel to community settings; work within a multidisciplinary team.
