Frontier Behavioral Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct inpatient psychiatric care in Spokane. This role runs Saturday/Sunday, 7 PM–7:30 AM, at the Calispel location, with responsibilities spanning nursing assessments, med administration, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington state is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire; must maintain active status.
• 1–2 years of psychiatric inpatient experience preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic charting and routine office software (EMR, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor patient care within RN scope using the nursing process.
• Medication administration, safety, and monitoring.
• Carry out physicians' orders as assigned.
• Demonstrate leadership and goal-oriented productivity within scope.
• Carry out care plan objectives and goals.
• Assist in patient education.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice and comply with state WACs.
• Facilitate therapeutic communication and document patient symptoms and progress.
• Complete incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Use motivational interviewing to promote patient-centered care.
