Job summary

City House Inc. is seeking Residential Support Staff to implement the shelter’s structured program and to provide a nurturing, growth-promoting environment for children at MFH.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, applying trauma-informed methods and safety plans while supporting daily living needs. The role requires 1 year of relevant experience, CPR certification, and the ability to collaborate with case managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience with children in therapeutic/residential settings (1 year).
• CPR certification current or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and random screens; TB testing.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Meet physical, emotional, and social needs of children per service plans.
• Document intake, paperwork, and daily reports; maintain records.
• Provide meals, hygiene, clothing, and basic care.
• Monitor behavior and locations with 15-minute checks.
• Assist with safety plans; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate with case managers; supervise activities.
• Administer prescription medications per policy.
• Attend trainings and maintain certifications.
• Perform daily living area cleaning and laundry.
