Job summary

Heartland Family Service in Council Bluffs, IA seeks a Case Manager III for Bluffside Men’s Recovery, a Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Program. You will provide supervision, behavioral coaching, and group facilitation to support recovery goals and safety in a 24/7 milieu.

The role includes implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with staff to ensure program consistency. Training in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in behavioral health/residential care.
• Training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, CPR/First Aid, and de-escalation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous supervision and support in residential setting.
• Ensures client safety and adherence to program expectations.
• Maintains structured, recovery-focused environment.
• Supports treatment plan implementation through real-time coaching.
• Provides redirection and reinforcement of coping skills.
• Assists with daily living skills and structured routines.
• Facilitates recovery-oriented and psychoeducational groups such as peer support, life skills/ADL, wellness and recreation, and recovery skills practice.
• Monitors and documents client behavior, engagement, and safety concerns; completes daily shift documentation, weekly progress reports, and incident reports; communicates updates to clinical and supervisory staff.
• Works with clinical and operational staff to support treatment goals and consistency across shifts.
