Job summary

Selah Freedom is seeking a Residential Advocate in Manatee County, FL to support survivors of sex trafficking in our residential program. You will provide emotional support, help navigate medical, housing, and mental health services, and ensure safe transportation with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminology, or related behavioral science; lived or work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Experience in trauma-informed environments and/or working with sex trafficking survivors.
Cross-cultural competence and the ability to meet survivors where they are.
Commitment to ongoing education in trauma, substance abuse, and survivor support.
A clean driving record and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

Facilitate assessments and treatment planning for survivors.
Support access to legal, medical, housing, and counseling services.
Provide transportation to appointments, work, and community resources.
Document services in our secure database and attend all required meetings and trainings.
Be available for flexible shifts, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
