Job summary

Selah Freedom is seeking a Part Time Residential Advocate in Manatee County to support survivors in our safe housing program, including assessments, treatment planning, transportation, and linking residents to community resources within a Christ-centered setting.

You will help create a healing environment while ensuring connection to essential services, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminology, or related behavioral science field (education may be substituted).
• Experience in trauma-informed care or working with survivors preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate assessments, treatment planning, and support services for residents, including legal, medical, housing, and mental health needs.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to appointments, work, classes, and community activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the client services database.
• Attend required meetings and trainings, including ongoing education in trauma, substance abuse, and sex trafficking.
• Support the residential program by fostering an environment that reflects the love and grace of Christ.

Position Summary

As a Residential Advocate, you will provide direct support to survivors of sex trafficking in our safe housing program. This includes assisting with assessments, treatment planning, transportation, and connecting residents to community resources. You will be an essential part of creating a safe, healing, and Christ-centered environment where women can experience hope and transformation.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
• Travel may be required.
• Moderate noise level environment.
