Job summary

Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to support individuals in addiction treatment. You will monitor patient activities, engage with patients in therapy and groups, and assist with admissions and discharges while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The role includes crisis intervention and coordinating transport to appointments, with a week-long paid training Monday-Friday days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in addiction services or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with behavior modification techniques and 12-step recovery principles.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support patient activities, ensuring safety through regular checks and observations.
• Engage directly with patients, facilitating therapeutic interactions, group sessions, and scheduled activities.
• Assist with admissions and discharges, including processing belongings, documentation, and patient orientation.
• Support crisis intervention through verbal de-escalation and against-advice interventions.
• Facilitate patient movement within the facility and assist in coordinating attendance for clinical and medical appointments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, safety checks, and incidents.
