The State of Oregon's Department of Human Services seeks an Eligibility Worker (Public Benefits Specialist) in Salem. Spanish bilingual preferred; will determine eligibility for medical, food, cash and childcare benefits through the ONE system.

Formación

• Experience interviewing applicants to determine program eligibility.
• Ability to provide trauma-informed, person-centered service.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in data entry and document review.
• Experience with public benefits programs (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Interview applicants in-person and by phone to determine program eligibility.
• Perform eligibility determinations, redeterminations and reviews.
• Assist customers in-person and by phone with benefits applications.
• Communicate eligibility decisions clearly to applicants.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centered service to identify needs.
• Ensure timely, accurate eligibility determinations.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
