Job summary

Northwest Children's Home, Inc. is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students in small classroom settings on our residential campus and at the Education Center.

You will assist Teachers, help deliver lessons, and engage children in a variety of activities while applying trauma-informed care principles. Role requires genuine care for children, the ability to work with youth who have experienced trauma, and a commitment to safety and positive boundaries.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience working with children.
• Valid Driver’s License to transport residents in agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teachers in classrooms and carry out lessons.
• Support students in the education environment.
• Participate in outdoor activities and supervise/engage with children.
• Build relationships with children using Trauma Informed Care approaches.
