Job summary

Community Health Alliance is seeking compassionate, licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Outpatient Substance Use Treatment team. You'll provide evidence-based counseling to adolescents and adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery, trauma-informed care, and positive outcomes in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio licensure as one of: LSW, LPC, LCDCII, LCDCIII, LISW, LPCC, LICDC.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.
  • Experience with substance use or behavioral health in outpatient/residential/community settings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based approaches (MI, CBT, DBT, Trauma-Informed Care).
  • Experience conducting assessments, treatment planning, and coordinating care across systems.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5-TR, ASAM Criteria, MAT, and recovery-oriented care.
  • Experience using EHR and maintaining timely, compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy in outpatient settings for diverse clients.
  • Complete assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver trauma-informed interventions to support emotional wellness and recovery.
  • Conduct suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
  • Coordinate with families, schools, medical providers, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development.
  • Educate clients and families on coping skills and relapse prevention.
  • Maintain quality and documentation standards while delivering client-centered care.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Outpatient Clinician, you will:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families in an outpatient setting.
  • Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans that support each client's goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions that promote emotional wellness, resilience, and recovery.
  • Conduct suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning while ensuring clients receive appropriate levels of care.
  • Engage families, caregivers, schools, medical providers, and community partners to coordinate care and support positive treatment outcomes.
  • Utilize collaborative documentation and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records within the electronic health record.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development.
  • Educate clients and families on coping skills, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and community resources.
  • Maintain quality, productivity, and documentation standards while providing exceptional client-centered care.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture focused on clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience treating individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions in an outpatient, residential or community-based setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Relapse Prevention, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
  • Experience conducting substance use assessments, treatment planning, and coordinating care across behavioral health and community support systems.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5-TR, ASAM Criteria, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and recovery-oriented systems of care.
  • Experience using electronic health records and maintaining timely, compliant clinical documentation.
