Job summary

Community Health Alliance in Hamilton, OH seeks a Licensed Counselor or Social Worker to provide behavioral health counseling in a residential treatment setting. You will conduct assessments and implement treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires OH LCDC II/III, LSW, LPC, LISW or LPCC licensure, a relevant degree, and familiarity with DSM/ASAM, trauma-informed care, and electronic health records. This full-time position includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed in the State of Ohio –LCDC II or LCDC III, LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Service Field or equivalency.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree with LPC or LSW Licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
  • Knowledge of and experience in diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care.
  • Adopts a harm reduction philosophy and supports the utilization of medication-assisted treatments as a best practice.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
  • Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.

  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides individual, group and/or family therapy in a residential treatment setting
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops treatment plans and implements evidenced-based interventions
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including medical, psychiatry, case management and peer recovery services

  • Facilitates group therapy utilizing evidence-based curricula
  • Develop client-centered treatment plans based on the needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the client
  • Assists clients in crisis by evaluating and providing appropriate interventions
  • Engages family and supportive others in treatment, transition and discharge planning processes
  • Evaluates clients’ progress towards goals, utilizes motivational enhancement strategies and determines appropriate interventions/modalities based on the individualized needs of each client
  • Promotes participation in self-help and recovery support groups
  • Maintains strong clinical and ethical boundaries with clients
