Job summary

Sandstone Care in Boulder, CO is seeking a Mental Health Technician for our residential facility. This PRN role supports clients’ recovery with direct care, therapeutic activity assist, and teamwork to maintain a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in behavioral health, high school diploma, and CPR certification preferred. Requires driving responsibilities, background check, and weekend availability. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college education or 1 year of human services experience required.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in psychology or behavioral health preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably with adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide clients during therapeutic and recreational activities, support goal attainment.
• Respond to incidents with de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure consistent care delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and report significant changes; ensure confidentiality and safety compliance.
• Provide trauma-informed care to support clients with behavioral health challenges.
