Job summary

Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking a Part-Time Juvenile Probation Case Manager (1405) to deliver trauma-informed care, skills training, and recovery planning to youths in Amarillo within Potter County.

This role supports families and works with a multidisciplinary team to provide community-based, face-to-face services, often in home or local settings; QMHP credentialing is required and a Bachelor’s degree is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related Human Services field.
• QMHP credentialing required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
• Work an intensive caseload for identified juveniles with behavioral health issues and involvement with the juvenile justice system.
• Assess, plan for treatment, coordinate with the Child and Adolescent team to ensure delivery of services, engage families, and employ a family- and person-centered approach.
• Teach and model skills for community living, social interactions, coping, problem solving, anger management, parenting, and self-control.
• Organize and provide culturally competent care activities and collaborate among all participants in the care team.
• Provide direct, community-based care (50%+ of time) in home/community settings with youth, family, and treatment team.
• Train in evidence-based curricula to improve daily functioning and community tenure.
• Meet contract requirements for the TCOOMMI Juvenile Program.
• Adhere to the Texas Panhandle Centers (TPC) Code of Conduct and report concerns if standards are compromised.
