Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Intake Therapist to support trauma-informed assessments and intake processes for potential patients.

Under the direction of the Director of Intake, you will handle referrals, coordinate admissions, and communicate with families, referral sources, and staff, while cross-training in other intake roles.

This PRN/Per Diem role emphasizes timely, compassionate service and compliance with insurance verification as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or related field.
• State licensure with the Board preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in social services, community mental/behavioral health, mental-health setting, inpatient setting and performing administrative duties, crisis interventions, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed assessments and telephonic/in-person intake
• Coordinate referral, intake, and admission processes
• Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff
• Cross-train in other Intake Department roles (e.g., BHT, Intake Coordinator) as needed
• Assist with verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed
