Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks an Intake RN for PRN/per diem shifts. You will manage inquiry calls, coordinate admissions, and liaise with referral sources, families, payors, and clinicians.

Prior inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required. This role supports a dedicated care team within a 120-bed behavioral health facility, offering opportunities to impact patient pathways and access to comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Arizona.
• Preferred one year of experience in psychiatric inpatient care.
• Must have or be able to attain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Timely processing of inquiry/referral calls and coordination of admissions.
• Triaging patients and completing assessments to determine the appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate with referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital staff involved in admissions.
• Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization when needed.
