Job summary

BAART Programs in California is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Registered Counselor for a 12-week assignment. You will provide individual and group counseling to patients in MAT for opioid use disorder, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support progress through personalized plans of care.

The role requires CA registration, a positive attitude toward patients, and the ability to conduct assessments and treatment planning in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be a California-registered counselor.
• Experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward patients.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need and regulations; coordinate services throughout treatment.
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints as needed.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
