Job summary

BAART Programs in Los Angeles, CA seeks a temporary/full-time Registered Counselor for a 12-week assignment to support patients in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder. You will provide individual and group counseling, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of life.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collaboration with doctors and nurses, and adherence to state regulations.

Qualifications

• Registered Counselor in the State of California.
• Prior experience with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, accepting attitude toward patients.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

TEMPORARY/FULL TIME (12 WEEKS) REGISTERED COUNSELOR OPPORTUNITY- CA

Counselor will be responsible for offering support and assistance to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills that enable then to experience improved quality of life. Through collaboration with doctors, nurses and a multidisciplinary team, the counselor will play a vital role in evaluating patient progress and developing an individualized plan of care.

Salary Range:

Salary ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
