Job summary

BAART Programs is seeking a Temporary/Full Time Registered Counselor for a 12-week assignment in California. The counselor will provide individual and group counseling for patients in MAT for opioid use disorder, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to tailor treatment plans and support symptom management.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, developing treatment plans, responding to patient concerns, and creating aftercare/discharge plans.

Qualifications

• Registered Counselor in the State of California.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
