Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a temporary/full-time Counselor in California to support patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder.

The counselor will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management plans to improve quality of life. The role includes conducting initial assessments, creating treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, and coordinating care, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• Registered Counselor in the State of California.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
• Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
• Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
