Job summary

The Road Home in Sandy, UT seeks a Housing Advocate Team Lead to supervise and support guests, ensuring safe shelter and access to resources. This in-person role combines compassionate guest services with operational oversight, including incident reporting, bed assignments, and staff leadership.

Demonstrated trauma-informed care, strong communication, and the ability to train and mentor a team of up to 10 are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse or vulnerable populations preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Housing Advocate duties and supervise up to 10 staff.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming shelter environment.
• Provide trauma-informed customer service and explain shelter rules and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining the shelter, dormitories, and common areas.
• Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and other departments during emergencies.
• Participate in staff training and provide feedback for team development.
• Collaborate with emergency services to coordinate guest support.
• Attend required trainings and assist with hiring processes.
