Job summary

Cultivate Initiatives is seeking Homemaking Apprentices to work with the Housing & Homemaking team, supporting neighbors who have recently transitioned into housing. The role is time-bound and ends in June 2027 due to funding, with applicants required to have completed the Cultivate Initiatives intern program.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn and engage with social services.
• Ability to take clear written notes to document interactions.
• Comfort using a smartphone or laptop for daily tasks.
• Able to adapt to varying situations and environments.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to maintain permanent housing using trauma-informed approaches.
• Support Homemaking Specialists and meet neighbors in homes when needed.
• Assist Housing Specialists with enrollment in housing programs and problem solving.
• Help with inventory management and package handling for the program.
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow organizational policies.
• Keep confidential information secure and uphold trust with neighbors.
• Represent Cultivate Initiatives to partners and the community.
• Attend trainings, events and outreach activities as assigned.
• Assist with special projects or other duties as requested by supervisor.
