Job summary

Firefly Children and Family Alliance in Indiana seeks a full-time and part-time Outpatient Therapist to deliver family-focused counseling to children and youths aged 3 to 18. Evening hours may be required as you support whole-family functioning within the community.

You will provide therapy to individuals, families, and groups, using evidence-based approaches while collaborating with referral sources like the Department of Child Services and documenting monthly case notes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• 3+ years’ experience in child development, attachment issues, trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of working with children with abuse, neglect issues, and family dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling support to a caseload of individuals, families, and groups working to achieve treatment goals related to healing from trauma or processing emotions.
• Guide clients through counseling methods to accomplish client-set goals.
• Maintain therapeutic standards outlined by professional degrees and licenses.
• Use referral sources such as Department of Child Services and other institutions related to clients.
• Complete monthly reports and documentation of all contacts with family and related contacts.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine client’s level of need and best intervention.
