Job summary

Firefly Children & Family Alliance in Indiana is seeking a full-time and part-time Outpatient Therapist to provide family-focused therapeutic interventions for children and families. You will work with clients aged 3 to 18, with some evenings required, and support community-based healing efforts in the Indianapolis area.

The role combines direct therapy (50%) and therapy support (50%), including referrals, documentation, and biopsychosocial assessments to determine the best interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• 3+ years’ experience in child development, attachment issues, trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of working with children with abuse, neglect issues and family dynamics.
• LSW or LCSW preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization & time management.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling support to individuals, families, and groups to achieve treatment goals related to trauma healing.
• Guide clients through counseling methods to meet client-set goals and maintain standards.
• Maintain therapeutic standards outlined by professional degrees and licenses.
• Use referral sources such as Department of Child Services and other institutions.
• Complete monthly reports and documentation of all contacts with family.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine level of need and best intervention.
