Job summary

Wellnest in Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Therapist to provide trauma-informed psychotherapy groups and family therapy, conduct intakes and assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans for children and families.

You will collaborate with supervisors, physicians, and community partners, perform home visits when needed, and maintain timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record. The role requires flexible hours and a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field and clinical experience related to children and child counseling; TB/fingerprint clearance; CA driver license.

Responsibilities

• Provides trauma-informed psychotherapy groups, family therapy, and collateral sessions
• Performs intakes & assessments to determine service needs and treatment plan
• Works flexible hours including evenings/weekends
• Develops, administers, evaluates and modifies treatment plans
• Facilitates attachment and supports children’s development with parents in home/school/community
• Collaborates with outside child protective or family services workers
• Advocates for parents and children when making referrals
• Completes documentation in EHR promptly
• Provides field-based services to high-risk clients
• Represents Wellnest at community events and outreach
• Participates in trainings and meetings
• Other duties as assigned
