Job summary

Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs in Needham, MA, is seeking an In-Home Therapist to provide community-based and in-home therapy for children, adolescents, and their families. The clinician delivers strength-based individual and family therapy, conducts assessments, coordinates care, and offers crisis support across home, school, and community settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• Experience working therapeutically with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate care with families.
• Background checks and MA driver’s license required.
• Bilingual capabilities are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Use established psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to support youth in improving social, emotional, and behavioral functioning, strengthening caregiver skills, and maintaining stability in the home and community.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and updates in a timely and thorough manner. Complete updates as needed throughout treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the youth, family, and relevant care team members, prioritizing needs and setting clear goals; revise plans as progress is made.
• Provide outpatient therapy to assigned cases as needed and assist during times of crisis.
• Maintain accurate and timely paper and electronic documentation; participate in weekly supervision and staff meetings.
