Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Child welfare experience is preferred.
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
  • Must be able to work at least 2 evenings per week to accommodate working families’ schedules.
  • Must have strong inquiry skills and ability to seek and share internal and external best practices.
  • Commitment to work from a strength-based, trauma-informed & youth and family development perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Provide home-based and on-site individual, family, and group counseling, including short-term crisis intervention.
  • Engage families upon referral, including ACS Child Safety Conferences when needed.
  • Implement SBC principles: assessment, outcomes, action plans, and documentation.
  • Handle case-related crises with professionalism and urgency; reports to State Central Registry as needed.
  • Conduct substance use, mental health, and child safety assessments; evaluate caregiver capacity and home conditions.
  • Represent participant needs at ACS and GSS meetings and trainings.
  • Collaborate with ACS, service providers and schools to ensure high quality services.
  • Prepare and maintain FASP documentation and monthly reports.
