Job summary

University of Colorado | CU Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician with formal Expressive Arts Therapy training to join an interdisciplinary trauma-informed team on the Aurora, CO campus. The role focuses on assessment, psychotherapy, and art therapy for patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury and related conditions.

The position offers a full-time, on-site role with opportunities to lead art therapy in an Intensive Outpatient Program and collaborate

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or Clinical Psychology required.
• Colorado professional license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Licensed as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or ATR-BC.
• Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience with trauma-exposed populations.
• Formal training and supervised clinical experience in Expressive Arts Therapy.
• Experience with interdisciplinary care teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial health and behavior assessments for individual patients.
• Communicate assessment results to the interdisciplinary team and patient.
• Implement and adjust treatment plans within an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide individual education and trauma-informed behavioral health treatment.
• Develop and conduct Art Therapy in group IOP settings and individual sessions.
• Education for individuals, groups, and families on sleep, mood regulation, anxiety, and brain health.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
