Job summary

The Marcus Institute for Brain Health (MIBH) at the University of Colorado is seeking a full‑time Behavioral Health Clinician with formal training in Expressive and/or Creative Arts Therapy. You will assess, educate, and provide therapy to patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury and co‑occurring conditions, on an interdisciplinary trauma‑informed care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology and Colorado license or eligibility.
• Licensed as an ATR or ATR-BC.
• Minimum 2 years direct clinical trauma exposure experience (open rank) or 3 years (senior instructor).
• Formal training and supervised experience in Expressive Arts Therapy.
• Experience in an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial health and behavior assessments for individual patients.
• Communicate assessment results to the team and patient in a professional, culturally competent manner.
• Work with the team to implement and adjust treatment plans.
• Provide individual education and trauma‑informed behavioral health treatment.
• Develop and conduct Art Therapy in IOP settings focused on self‑expression and mastery.
• Develop adjunctive art therapy assessments/sessions as needed.
• Educate individuals, groups, and families on sleep, mood, anxiety, and brain health.
• Build relationships that enable early communication of risky situations.
• Prepare timely, culturally sensitive documentation including evaluations and treatment plans.
• Assist in developing program processes, policies, and best practices.
