Embark Behavioral Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals for a trauma-informed residential program for adolescent girls (ages 12-17) in Utah. You will provide direct support in a high-acuity setting, helping teens regulate emotions, stay safe, and participate in therapeutic routines.

Collaborate with therapists and nurses, model healthy boundaries, and be a steady presence for teens navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and family challenges.

Qualifications

• High-acuity response: comfortable managing verbal/physical outbursts and emotional dysregulation in a residential setting.
• Emotional regulation: ability to maintain composure and set firm, healthy boundaries.
• Growth mindset: willingness to learn and grow; passion for adolescent mental health encouraged even without direct experience.
• Adolescent experience: background working with adolescents in behavioral health, residential, or crisis environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Daily routines: Support students in following structured schedules and activities with encouragement and accountability.
• Crisis intervention: Use verbal de-escalation techniques; apply approved physical interventions when necessary to ensure safety.
• Crisis prevention: Apply proactive strategies to reduce risk and provide crisis management when necessary.
• Treatment alignment: Ensure student progress aligns with individualized treatment plans developed by therapists.
• Positive modeling: Model constructive behaviors and attitudes; reinforce a healthy environment for clients.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough records of client interactions, incidents, and progress.
• Team engagement: Participate in staff and house bonding activities to foster teamwork.
• Housekeeping tasks: Perform light daily tasks to maintain a clean, organized living space.
