Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Utah is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to support adolescent girls in a residential treatment setting. The role involves direct care, daily routines, and therapeutic programming under clinical supervision.

Training is provided, with a focus on coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthy lifestyle habits. The position may be full-time or part-time, with shifts on weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to pass a Utah State background check.
• Willingness to commit to a minimum of 8 months.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit before first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and behavioral health support to adolescent residents.
• Lead and participate in daily routines, group activities, and therapeutic programming.
• Support development of healthy coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Assist with minor food preparation and model healthy lifestyle habits.
• Maintain a safe, structured, trauma‑informed environment.
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans.
• Document daily progress notes and communicate key updates to leadership.
• Use safe verbal de‑escalation and physical intervention skills when needed.
