Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Springville, UT, seeks a Direct Support Professional/Behavioral Health Associate to join a trauma‑informed residential program for adolescent girls (ages 12–17). You will provide direct support in a high‑acuity setting, helping teens regulate emotions, stay safe, and engage in therapeutic routines.

You will collaborate with therapists and nurses, model healthy boundaries, and serve as a steady presence for teens navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and family

Qualifications

• High-acuity response: capable of managing verbal/physical outbursts in residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Daily routines: help students follow structured schedules with encouragement and accountability.
• Crisis intervention: use de-escalation; apply holds/restraints when necessary to ensure safety.
• Crisis prevention: employ proactive strategies to reduce risk and manage crises.
• Treatment alignment: ensure progress aligns with therapists' treatment plans.
• Positive modeling: demonstrate healthy behaviors and attitudes for clients.
• Documentation: keep thorough records of interactions, incidents, and progress.
• Team engagement: participate in staff and house activities to foster teamwork.
• Housekeeping tasks: perform light daily cleaning and organization.
