Chestnut Health Systems seeks a compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist for a part-time, on-call role across Illinois counties. Preference given to residents of St. Clair, Randolph, Perry, Clinton, Washington, and Monroe counties. Start pay is $21.00–$22.00 per hour with a range of benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years' supervised mental health experience or a master's degree with <1000 hours supervised experience.
• Valid driver's license, private auto insurance, and insurability.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver crisis intervention services, including assessments, safety planning, and referrals.
• Complete documentation promptly—100% of assessments and safety plans at time of service; 80% of progress notes within 24 hours.
• Support individuals through court-ordered assessments, group services, and case management.
• Use recovery-oriented language and practices emphasizing hope, empowerment, and self-direction.
• Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, and natural support systems to maintain relationships.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Provide after-hours crisis support as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold organizational standards for customer service.
