Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist for full-time evening shifts (3pm to 11:30pm) serving Madison, Greene, Calhoun, Jersey, Macoupin, Montgomery, and Bond Counties in Illinois. The role focuses on crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, safety planning, and linking individuals to community resources.

Starting pay is $21.00–$22.00 per hour, with a $2 differential for second shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ supervised mental health experience or a master’s degree with <1000 hours of supervised mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver crisis intervention services, including assessments, safety planning, and referrals.
• Complete and document assessments and safety plans at time of service; progress notes within 24 hours.
• Support individuals through court-ordered assessments, group services, and case management.
• Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, and community supports to maintain relationships.
• Provide after-hours crisis support as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold customer service standards.
