Job summary

Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center in Medina, OH is seeking a Domestic Violence Shelter Crisis Intervention Specialist for evening to overnight shifts. You will provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, shelter intake, referrals, and safety planning to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR, First Aid, AED, and Narcan certifications preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with survivors of trauma, mental health, or addiction preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability; ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors, including crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, shelter intakes, referrals, safety planning, and follow-up care.
• Assist with shelter operations, including shelter coverage, safety, transportation, conflict resolution, cleaning/food prep, and workshops for survivors on self-sufficiency skills.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policy.
• Collaborate with agencies to secure services for survivors and support case managers and H&H staff in individualized survivor plans.
• Participate in professional development and community representation.
• Adhere to Service Excellence standards and agency policies and procedures.
