Job summary

Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center (H&H) in Medina, OH, seeks a Domestic Violence Shelter Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide trauma‑informed support and crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking residing in the shelter.

The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to conduct safety planning, advocacy, hotline responses, and referrals; duties include shelter operations, documentation, workshops,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR/First Aid/ AED/Narcan preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with trauma survivors preferred.
• Valid OH driver’s license and background check clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, trauma-informed support including crisis intervention, advocacy, hotline responses, shelter intakes, referrals and safety planning.
• Assist with shelter operations such as coverage, safety, transportation, and daily survivor engagement; lead workshops on self-sufficiency.
• Complete timely documentation and coordinate with agencies to secure services and support survivor plans.
• Adhere to service excellence standards and CARF/state/federal requirements.
