Job summary

The Family Place in Dallas, TX is seeking a Counseling Student Intern to gain hands-on clinical experience under licensed supervision (LPC, LCSW, or equivalent). You will conduct intake assessments, provide weekly therapy, and facilitate psychoeducation groups for survivors of domestic violence, while documenting hours and maintaining confidentiality.

The position requires enrollment in a Master’s program and a background check, with evenings available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Master's degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Social Work.
• Clear criminal background check and negative drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person intake assessments to establish safety plans and identify case management needs.
• Provide weekly individual therapy to adult and/or youth survivors of violence.
• Facilitate psycho-education groups for victims of domestic violence.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records and document hours per agency requirements.
