Job summary

MidPen Housing Corp. seeks a Community Manager of Supportive Housing for Jessie Street Terrace in California. You will oversee daily property operations, ensure safety, manage finances, compliance, and supervise onsite staff, coordinating with Resident Services to connect residents with stability-focused resources.

The role requires three years of multi-family management, supervisory experience, FHA knowledge, and a California driver’s license. On-site housing is provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of multi-family residential management experience.
• Preferred: experience within Supportive Housing.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Certification as a Tax Credit Specialist or Certified Occupancy Specialist (or ability to obtain within six months).

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with residents to foster a safe and supportive living environment.
• Partner with MidPen Resident Services to connect residents with stability resources.
• Manage resident communications, resolve conflicts and ensure residents understand rights and responsibilities.
• Oversee daily operations for one or more properties, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collect rent and security deposits and manage delinquent accounts per procedures.
• Ensure reporting for program certifications and compliance reviews (Fair Housing, HUD, TCAC).
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and staff/resident readiness.
• Supervise onsite staff and provide performance feedback and growth opportunities.
• Foster collaboration with internal/external partners and participate in meetings and trainings.
