Job summary

BestLife Emotional Health & Wellness Center in Springfield, MA seeks a Fee-For-Service Clinician to deliver outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, and families within the Emergency Assistance Shelter System and a Community Mental Health Center serving the Springfield/Holyoke area.

The clinician will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based counseling, collaborate with community resources, and help develop group programming based on identified community needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field is required.
• Independent licensure or license eligibility preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Prior experience in community mental health and/or shelter systems strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide crisis consultation as needed.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and screening tools to inform clinical work and interventions.
• Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
• Complete all clinical documentation and billing records accurately and in a timely manner to meet agency and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with shelter and community-based teams to develop and implement behavior support and risk management plans.
• Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, including state agencies, shelters, and community providers.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, licensing reviews, and accreditation processes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through trainings, conferences, and clinical consultation.
• Assist in the development and facilitation of group services aligned with the agency’s mission and the needs of the individuals served.
• Maintain clear, respectful, and culturally responsive communication with individuals, families, and collaborating agencies.
• Promote and integrate the agency’s core values and mission in daily clinical practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director.
