Job summary

Boca Recovery Center in Huntington, Indiana is seeking a Clinical Therapist to join our Clinical Services team on site. You will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based counseling, and support clients through treatment with a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach.

The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, accurate documentation, and coordination with external providers. This position reports to the Clinical Director and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Active licensure in Indiana preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in chemical dependency and psychiatric settings.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess counseling needs using evidence-based tools (e.g., ASI).
• Diagnose substance use and co-occurring disorders using DSM-5 criteria.
• Determine level of care using ASAM criteria.
• Obtain and review clinical records relevant to the current treatment episode.
• Develop individualized, recovery-oriented treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver individual and group counseling per treatment plans.
• Conduct periodic ASAM reviews for continued services or discharge.
• Revise treatment plans reflecting progress and challenges.
• Coordinate with referral sources and mental health professionals.
• Attend daily/weekly staff meetings and participate on the treatment team.
• Provide clinical consultation and care coordination across departments.
• Document assessments, sessions, and referrals with dates and signatures.
