Job summary

Safe Harbor seeks a Client Support Specialist to deliver trauma-informed support, build rapport with clients, and reinforce shelter routines within a structured living environment. You will document interactions, monitor emotional well-being, and collaborate with the Shelter Operations team to maintain a safe, welcoming space.

The role is full-time, hourly, non-exempt with full benefits, reporting to the Director of Shelter Operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in shelter, residential, or communal living environments preferred.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and structured support approaches.
• Strong communication, documentation, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of assigned clients with trauma-informed support and shelter engagement.
• Provide structure reminders and behavioral guidance for shared space use.
• Document interactions accurately and timely in agency systems.
• Observe patterns and refer to Advocacy Team when needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and de-escalate crises as required.
