Job summary

Baltimore County is hiring a Human Services Associate to provide case management and co-facilitate the TAMAR program inside the Baltimore County Detention Center. The TAMAR program is a structured 15-week trauma-informed curriculum for justice-involved individuals.

In this role you will support participants’ recovery, address trauma-related needs, and help prepare individuals for successful re-entry, working in collaboration with detention center staff and re-entry teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field.
• Current driver's license.
• Experience in essential duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to four years for the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management including assessment, planning, referrals, documentation, and progress monitoring.
• Facilitate TAMAR groups following curriculum and guidelines.
• Co-facilitate trauma-related activities, journaling, and creative expression.
• Identify challenges and provide support or referrals.
• Work with detention center staff, behavioral health providers, and re-entry teams.
• Complete documentation and reports per requirements.
