Job summary

Kenosha Human Development Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Caseworker for Project YELLOW Door TH/RRH to support homeless young adults, ages 18-24, in scattered-site housing.

The role uses trauma-informed, person-centered approaches to assess needs, develop housing stability plans, and apply individualized interventions to help clients achieve self-defined goals. Responsibilities include intake, case management, housing search assistance, income and benefits navigation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field or relevant experience with homelessness.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to maintain records and document case notes daily.

Responsibilities

• Participate in admissions and set goals; review assessments and determine eligibility.
• Provide ongoing case management and housing stability planning with participants.
• Assist with apartment searches, move-in/out, and maintaining housing stability.
• Develop and implement a Housing/Employment Stability Plan with the participant.
• Coordinate education, GED prep, job training, and connections to benefits.
• Maintain complete documentation in HMIS and related records.
