Job summary

Lawrence Hall, a Chicago-based nonprofit serving youth and families impacted by trauma, seeks a Case Manager Assistant to provide administrative and case management support within the Foster Care Department. You will help coordinate family visits, maintain case documentation, and support communication among families, schools, and service providers.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to trauma-informed, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or Associate degree in Human Services or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and standard office software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass background, child welfare, and drug screening requirements.
• Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule family visits, appointments, meetings, and service activities.
• Maintain case files, court records, correspondence, and program documentation.
• Assist Child Welfare Specialists by gathering, organizing, and distributing records, reports, and information from families, schools, courts, service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Support family team meetings, court hearings, and case-related activities through note-taking, documentation tracking, and follow-up coordination.
• Respond to inquiries from youth, families, foster parents, service providers, and community partners regarding services and program-related information.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure effective communication, service coordination, and continuity of care for youth and families.
