Job summary

Lawrence Hall, a Chicago-based nonprofit, is seeking a Youth & Community Development Case Manager to mentor at-risk youth and justice-involved young adults (ages 10-26) using trauma-informed, positive youth development approaches. You will connect participants to education, employment, mental health, and community resources while coordinating with schools, families, and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Youth Development, or related field; OR a High School Diploma/GED with relevant lived and/or professional experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma, violence, poverty, and systemic inequities and ability to build trusting relationships.
• Knowledge of community-based resources, positive youth development, and restorative practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship, advocacy, and case management to at-risk youth and young adults.
• Develop goal plans and connect participants to educational, employment, mental health, and community resources.
• Facilitate wellness, leadership, life skills, and healthy decision-making sessions.
• Coordinate services with schools, families, probation officers, and community partners.
• Maintain case notes and service documentation; assist with transportation as needed.
