Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in childcare, healthcare, social services, education, behavioral health, residential care, emergency response, humanitarian assistance, or related human services field.
• Training in personal care and toileting for children; basic hygiene and infection control; maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment; basic first aid and emergency procedures; understanding abuse and neglect.
• Bilingual – ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed caregiving principles.
• Ability to work compassionately with children and vulnerable populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and high-stress situations.
• Ability to identify medical or behavioral concerns requiring immediate attention.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day performance of Caregivers and manage schedules and shift changes.
• Deliver attentive, respectful daily care prioritizing safety and dignity.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Distribute and monitor meals, infant formula, water, snacks, and supplies; maintain accountability.
• Monitor well-being and report medical concerns or abuse.
• Provide trauma-informed care and emotional support to distressed individuals.
• Supervise assigned children and family units during daily activities and sleeping periods.
• Document caregiver activities and incidents per policies and procedures.
• Maintain sanitary living environments and assist with housekeeping tasks.
• Coordinate with government, medical staff, interpreters, and transportation teams.
• Respond to emergencies per safety and security protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect rights and privacy of individuals.
