Job summary

Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center in Akron, OH is seeking a Campus Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Advocate to provide trauma-informed advocacy and direct support to survivors. The role involves crisis intervention, safety planning, and collaboration with hospitals, law enforcement, and community partners to promote empowerment and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Degree required; if no degree, experience in victim advocacy or related field.
• Must have valid Ohio driver’s license and meet driving insurability requirements.
• Must pass criminal background check (BCI & FBI).

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and trauma-informed support to survivors across diverse settings (hospitals, law enforcement, courts, community organizations).
• Manage an individual caseload with ongoing advocacy, emotional support, and referrals; develop individualized goal plans with clients.
• Conduct needs assessments and coordinate with partners to empower informed decision-making.
• Maintain accurate client documentation and confidential records per agency policy.
• Complete required training and maintain certifications as per agency policies.
