Job summary

St Joseph Catholic Orphans Society seeks a Therapeutic Behavior Support Specialist to assist with crisis prevention, intervention and debriefing in a residential setting. You will provide one-on-one support and de-escalation to clients experiencing emotional and behavioral regulation challenges, while leading trauma-informed interventions and supporting staff during crises.

You will coordinate with the treatment team, participate in meetings, and oversee medication administration across cottages

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, Safe Crisis Management certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and crisis intervention during daily routines.
• Lead trauma-informed interventions by modeling and coaching residential staff.
• Oversee medication administration to ensure prescribed dosing and minimize errors.
• Collaborate with treatment team and external providers to develop crisis intervention plans.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to individualized care plans.
