Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries seeks a Behavior Support Specialist to deliver in-home and community-based behavioral health services. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collaboration with families, and adherence to individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities include regular home visits, documentation, crisis intervention, and on-call participation. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field with youth mental health experience; a Master’s is preferred for

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, mental health or related field; 1 year youth mental health experience preferred (Texas Foster Care).
  • Community-Based Services (Texas): Bachelor’s degree in social work/psych/mental health; 1 year youth mental health experience; Master’s preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED with 5 years youth mental health experience may substitute for BA.
  • Must adhere to state program requirements and COA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular client visits in the home and community.
  • Provide trauma-informed services to clients and families.
  • Support services per individualized treatment plan.
  • Deliver services per program curriculums.
  • Document all services in Arrow's electronic client record per standards.
  • Ensure all clinical notations are accurate and legally sound.
  • Participate in trainings and supervision sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention to family 24/7 as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as directed.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload to meet outcomes and requirements.
  • Complete CANS certification.
  • May drive Arrow vehicles and complete vehicle training.
